You can place lights on the floor with a standing lamp, ceiling, cabinets, and walls if you want. Just experiment with it. Next you have the eco-friendly side such as plants and small trees that really change the way a room looks like. This really made a big difference in my room and I highly recommend you try to work on this in your room as well. The green environment with plants is really in style right now and it works really well in almost any type of room.
